Festival Interceltique de Lorient

 Who doesn’t know this inevitable meeting of Celtic cultures across the world!!!
10 days of shows, of concerts, of parades in the center of the city of Lorient. All merged generations meet to dance. A fun-filled show!
The Festival Interceltic de Lorient was presented for the first time 39 years ago by the will of his founders to contribute to the development of Breton music and culture and also to open up to Celtic nations of British islands (Scotland, Wales, Cornouaille, Island of Man, Ireland) but also in the North of Spain (Galicia and Asturies).
It gave to this festival a particular place among all Breton festivals but also among nations inasmuch as it could create a meeting point placing Brittany next to other nations and thus inventing a new concept of exchanges : the interceltisme.

Sail City Eric TABARLY - Lorient

3 main topics : The man and the ocean - The conception of sailing boats - Navigation
Discovery of panorama in the "tower of winds" - Seen from the roadstead. Access by a footbridge situated in the exhibition hall.
You can continue this visit by a one-hour boat-ride at sea with a skipper, on board of one of the sailing boats of the Sail City; the Kaïdoz 31.

Port-Louis : East India Company Museum

The city of Port-Louis and its East India Company Museum : not far from Lorient, a boat-ride of 10mn will bring you to the citadel located on a rocky point on the outskirts of the roadstead of Lorient.
